That was my little bugger in Ann Arbor. It was awarded first place in the Cattleya species and miniature categories. Not bad for my first show! I'm glad that you were able to see it and enjoyed it. It's so great to go to a show and see everybody's treasures. There's something special about this hobby of all of ours. I'm glad to share it with you all
It brings me great joy. Thanks to everybody for all the wonderful comments.
An additional note. It may be fragrant after all! I picked it up from our show crew tonight and noticed when I got home a small waft of scent. It was cloudy and rainy all day, so I'll see if there's any difference tomorrow under the lights. I may try selfing this plant just to get the experience and it's not a bad subject after all.
