That's an early cross and it has been seldom seen here.

Mine opened up yesterday. It is a great plant. I've read most clones are sterile.

Gorgeous, mine is done and all blooms gone. It's an orange one.

Hausermans has it and that's where I got mine. It is darker than it looks in there pictures. It was a nice plant and has grown several new pbulbs. I really like it. I think I need a red one. But which one and what are the differences?

I believe the clone in the pic is Slc. Jewel Box 'Scheherazade"; as mentioned, there is a clone named Slc. JB 'Orange', and a darker, deeper red clone named Slc. JB 'Dark Waters', although I would take 'Scheherazade' over any of the others as it's color is just really eye-popping, cherry red.
Of course, I wouldn't kick any of them out of my "flower bed" so to speak - they tend to be very reliable bloomers and vigorous growers.
Thanks for sharing a beautiful example of one of my most favorite orchids.

Thanks for the information. I got this plant from a local nursery. These plants were imported many decades ago and the plant what i got was divided from the mother plants. It does look very like the clone, Scheherazade.

Thanks for the info. I have seen both the Dark Waters and the Scheherazade and was wondering how much they were different. Hausermanns has the Orange and The Dark Waters. I got the orange because at the time I didn't have any Catt's and I love the orange ones. Now I maybe have to many so now I want some red ones. And some more yellow ones...oh and some green ones........oh oh and some...........
