Well, I threw myself into looking for who has 'Scheherazade' for sale right now.....there are at least three on ebay right now, two up for auction, the other for out right sale, in bud for $34.00 - the seller is 'orchids-forever' in case you are interested. Recently, I bookmarked an internet site that had a really nice price and good sized 'Sche.', but at the time, I decided I had spent all my lunch money as it was, I would get it later. But, even more recently, something happened on my 'puter and ALL of my bookmarks were erased. So now I have to start hours and hours of scanning web pages, re-wording searches, going in through all the backdoors to get to the orchid suppliers stored again......that is going to be such hell - especially on my checkbook! I am soooooo in need of a 12-step program!!!!!

BTW - If you like the Jewel Box series, have you seen any of the clones of Slc. Mae Hawkins, especially 'Mendenhall'? It is not quite as compact (if my memory serves...) but it has a comparably eye-popping red color, similar shape and it's rather fragrant. I am so greedy, I want one of each!. Reds, of any species, are a passion of mine for some odd reason.
Good luck with your collection. I agree - it only makes sense we want one of each color, doesn't it? Why are we the only people who understand that?
Best of luck!

Thanks. the Mendenhall name sounds familiar but I'm not sure if I have seen one or not. I have seen the Scheherazade on Santa Barbra Orchid Estate's sight. But I'm going to wait to do any more ordering until I see what the spring project is going to be. I really need to stop as I am having a hard enough time getting what I have now watered. But you know one can't just order one orchid from one sight. It has to have a friend to go cross country with.

I'm also dieing to get some of Fred Clarks new ones. Funny I lost a bunch of my book marks about 2 weeks ago as well. Mine had a name and it was dear hubby's hands. He didn't know he did it, well that's what he said but it had all my sights that sell orchids on it. Hummm perhaps it was on purpose now that I think about it. I'll fix him I will find them all again

Another great offspring of Jewel Box is Ctt. Anduril (Ctt. Jewel Box X Ctt. Trick Or Treat). Flowers look similar but are a tad smaller.

Oh yea, I'll bet it is a nice one. I also love Trick or Treat. I had one once and killed it, so sad.
