Default Encyclia cordigera semi-alba form

Bought this from Norman Orchids (orchids.com) 2 years ago. They profess to grow this outdoors here in So. California. The first year I did that no flowers, now I grow it a little warmer (min 65F/18C) I got a crop of six nicely scented flowers. I water it like a Cattelya, I think they resent being constantly wet, so I let it dry out quite a bit. The potting medium consists of very course bark, charcoal and clay pallets (hydroton).

p.s. as a bonus, it has a very nice musky/lemony scent.

Enjoy
Andrew

I'm no expert, but did they sell that as semi alba? Because it sure looks like tipo to me. (which I think is the prettiest actually, I have and love this species)

I actually looked it up. They labeled it Epi something which isn't accurate at all!

Looks great! I think the tipo/semi-alba variety is the best color and I'll be posting pics of my own soon enough!
