Beautiful color! You have the plant that came from South America....where they originate from.
I got my plant from a Japanese grower who made a really sturdy plant but sadly my coccinea is turning into a large specimen but skipped a couple of years flowering

Tindo yes, Andrea has always the best quality imports, and especially for me, since I do meet with her here in Miami literally hours after she pics up plants from USDA, so they are as fresh as possible. I have never got one from her but may try in May :-)

Never met Andrea, I only have contact info for Gary Meyer. Are you thinking of Ecuagenera?

No Tindo, Orchids of the valley (Orquideas del valle). She comes to many US shows and has always amazing orchids, much better quality thanks to immaculate packing than any other South America vendor!

I'll have to try them, never have. However I was talking about Colombian Orchid Imports, that their actual name.
Thanks for letting me know about Orquideas del Valle. I wonder if its named after the same valley I was born in, Valle del Cauca.

Not sure, they are from Cali Colombia. Andrea is awesome, always great to talk to, she has many species named after her (niesseniae endings :-)) If they ever come close to you, definitely check or pre order! I have never heard about Colombia orchid imports but heard about Gary Meyer :-) I will stick with Andrea since I know her plants and we can always meet in Miami which is awesome!

Awesome plant! And I'm doubly impressed that you've been able to not only grow it well but to also bloom it...living in sunny and hot south Florida.

I know you do great w/many of these cool growers but this one really impresses me.
