Lc. Orglade's Grand 'Yu Chang Beauty'
After several years of average growth, and no blooms, this beauty finally decided to bloom. Semi-albas are probably my favorite Cattleya hybrids, and this one does not disappoint! It has a very faint, but lovely fragrance.
Well worth the wait!

Lovely! Coincidently I just did a virus test on mine this afternoon (it was negative). But mine has refused to bloom for a couple years also. I got blooms several times before I divided it. Any idea what made yours bloom now? I didn't have to do anything special years ago for it to bloom.

Silken, I used to repot and divide regularly. In desparation, I let it literally grow out of the pot, increased the watering a lot, and put it outside for the summer in more light than I thought it could take. I also remember reading that these guys can be very reluctant bloomers at times, anyway.

Interesting. I remember mine was growing out of the pot when it was a good bloomer. It was a large plant. So I divided it and sold the larger piece in bloom. I've been without blooms ever since
