No idea, but unless this is a species orchid, it will be almost impossible to ID. Cattleyas have been heavily hybridized, so without a tag, it will always be a NOID. I would, however, call up the grower, show them the picture and ask for an ID. Better if you can email them and show a chain of identification for the plant, then you confirm it's ID that way.

It's lovely though! Just lovely! If this were a miniature, I would get one for myself, ID or not.

If I could only remember who the vendor is I would have done that. I am hoping that they will be at the Ft. Lauderdale Orchid Festival this weekend. I know it is almost impossible to know the exact species but if I could only know if it is a C., Bc., Blc, Lc., Slc., or Rlc., that would be ok by me, I could name it ??? Taimiami and be satisfied!

The flowers actually look similar to a Potinara that my daughter killed. Take a look at those and see if that seems reminiscent of your plant. How big is it and how big did the grower say it was going to get?

Yeah I bought one last year at the show and it's about to bloom. A lot of people were selling it in bud again this year at that show.
