Default Blc. Chia Lin ‘New City’

Flowering for the first time with just one flower but it is huge, and would appear bigger if the petals were not falling forward so much. Sadly a few blemishes here and there, probably from insect activity.
The lip is a lovely velvet red colour – I think I will keep this one.

Congrats on blooming it. I have been waiting and waiting for mine to bloom. Did your plant get to a good size before it bloomed?

I sourced a couple of years back from a Thailand import, cannot quite remember which plant nursery it was, but it was already quite mature, about 30 cms.

Wow, that is a good size. Maybe there is hope for mine yet. Thanks.

Beautiful! That's one of the best red cattleyas, in my opinion.

Very nice! New city may be the most popular clone of this cross here.

It does seem to be quite popular on OB. Hausermanns made a nice cross using this one that I'd like to get my hands on.

I have a Chia Lin 'Shin Shy' which I have had for more than a year. It only has 4 pseudo bulbs but was sold as blooming size. I'll wait patiently lol! Yours is lovely.
