According to the originator this is a primary hybrid of Rhyncholaelia glauca and Cattleya (former Laelia) purpurata var. werkhaeuseri, now registered as Rlc. Blue Bells. For me it looks very much like Rlc. Empress Worsley.
Flowers last remarkably long.

Given the strong similarity to Rl. digbyana hybrids like Rlc. Digbyano-Purpurata and Rlc. Pulcherrima (minus the fringe, of course) it looks right for glauca x purpurata to me. Though I can also see the resemblance to second generation nodosa hybrids like Empress W. Interesting one.

What really amazes me is that flowers lasted from Christmas until today in our warm kitchen. Now they are fading. That are unbelievable 45-48 days.

That is an amazing length of time! Wow! And it is a beautiful flower, too.
Only my Phal-type den does that well though the Brassavola Little Stars comes close. That is really extraordinary!
