This picture looks so good I though it was fake or a painting. Amazing! You could hang this on the wall.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong
I also have a "little goldfish". Earlier, in late summer, it had 2 buds with no sheath that just dried up and died before the really developed at all. Now, I have been watching a sheath, flower stalk, and buds for about a month, buds turned yellow, looked good, then just when they should have opened they dried up and fell off.
It also now has 2 more buds with no sheath, so I don't know what will happen with them. I don't know where I'm going wrong. It is in a south window, but it's been cloudy for days, humidity is 60-65 % , temps around 68F except for sunny days when it might reach 75F. Any one have any ideas ?

I don't really know. Bud loss on Cattleyas are usually due to a few possibilities.
1) Water getting onto the bud or down around the stem that holds the flowers
2) A warm-growing Cattleya in too cool of temperatures
3) Pests
4) Root issues
5) hot/cold draft
6) chemical (fungicide or pesticide) (gas leak, ripe fruit)
7) too little water
8) virus

Your goldfish is a beauty! What a nice way to start the day!
My Burana Beauty opened up yesterday, too.
