I bought a division of this plant from a older orchid society member at a sale in the summer. Her stat sheet with this plant said that it was originally registered in the 1930s, which makes it ancient for orchid hybridization. The flowers changed color after first opening significantly, and I'm very happy with the result. They are also somewhat fragrant.
