Blc. Chia Lin 'New City'
One of the famous recent hybrids from Taiwan, although from American parentage. Very easy to recognize, and with a strong sweet and spicy scent all day long. The very dark velvety black-red colour is rare, hard to describe and to capture on the photo. The golden throat makes a great contrast. Flower size is big. Okay, shape could be a bit more extended.

Oh yes, I also have this cross. Love the colour and velvet texture, but sadly the shape is not great though. Flowers on my plant are also rather 'cupped', but I still think it is worth keeping. Perhaps more light and the flowers may open out more, I will have to see on the next cycle.

Gorgeous.
It sounds like my hybrid that just bloomed and has Chia Lin for a parent, inherited the same scent!

Good growing. It is indeed a famous cross in Taiwan. I have one plant in spike.
