We love it. Our summers are warm to hot and dry but cool at night and our winters are rainy but mild. It is a rain forest area. Annas hummingbirds winter here. We have been going a little below freezing lately so I have been bringing the hummingbird feeder in at night so that she doesn't have to sip on slushies.

Awwww...thanks. You're too kind. If I were allowed to grow only one alliance of orchids...it would be cattleya.
If you want more...then by all means...it's time for you to do some shopping.

I used to have trouble growing catts but I have the hang of it now. I find lava rock makes it much easier. I only have an LC, BLC, potinara and an Epicatt. I would love to find room for a big poofy catt.

I love the ones that bloom during the winter. They really brighten things up.

Thanks, Steve. The vio is in a clay pot w/leca as the medium. I pot the majority of my catts in either leca or lava rock.
