Buds in this sheath?
This is my slc memoria Alvin Beggman 'poem'. It had some issues with soft rot in several pbulbs and for awhile I thought that I might lose the whole plant but it seems to be making a comeback and has grown 2 new pbulbs. The first produced a tiny sheath that dried up pretty much right away but this one is still nice and green and the little shadow inside seems to be slowly and steadily getting bigger. Is there any chance that despite the earlier issues this little buggar might actually be trying to produce a bloom for me?

I shall continue to stare at it constantly like a crazy person but now that its not just me seeing potential bud growth I'll feel a little less crazy. Thanks Paul

Thanks guys I am definitely not going to count my chickens before they hatch tho...I have a NoID brassia that sent up a spike but as the buds started forming they all blasted. It would have been the first time I got one of my plants to bloom under my care (using that term loosely) and although I mostly expected it I was still terribly disappointed. So I won't get too excited yet but will remain ever hopeful

Progress!!!
I had noticed a definite plumping of the sheath over the past few days and to my delight, I discovered it has begun to crack open. I couldn't be more excited!
