Default Proud Mama, my first Brassavola bloom!

Hi All,
My Brassavola Little Stars is starting to open as of today. I'm sooooo excited!
Here are some of my chid. I got her last June.

And for good measure, I am showing a recent pick of my Mtssa. Jerry's Pick (on the end) which is now opened, but only a hint of fragrance so far but I'm hoping for a stronger smell as it develops more.
Also, I am not part of your previous project group...just missed it when I joined here, but I have to show my Aerangis luteo-alba that is in spike and is taking it's sweet time. I got her last July. (second to last pic)
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful! How big is your Little Stars and how are you growing it? Your Aerangis luteo-alba looks very happy as well!

Thanks Sue and Becca!
Woopie, questions! This proud Mom loves questions about my chids. My Little Stars is about a foot tall measuring from the top of the wooden octagonal box and up.
When I bought her, she was very very rootbound and I took her out and only had this 6" octagon box to put her in. The rootball barely fit. I couldn't separate the roots or anything. So I stuck it in the box and braced it with a couple sticks and with wine corks down inbetween the roots and box wherever I could for stability. And that is all there is....roots with no medium. That orchid started to grow out everywhere! Not sure what I am going to do when it outgrows this box....and it looks like it's getting there. Thanks for asking! kiki

Wow--very nice. The brassovola is my ultimate favorite orchid scent so far!! One flower will scent a huge area outside--I'm not kidding!

WOW! so many blooms. My Brassavola nodosa bloomed for the first time last summer but it rained really hard and a branch fell on it and broke the spike off, the rest of the plant was not damaged though.

That's an easy one! You just put this entire box into one the next size up!

Nice Kiki! Love the multiple spikes too! Great growing. My B. nodosa bloomed right after Christmas. It's still going strong though it only has a single spike with 3 flowers. I need to quit being lazy and take a pic of it one of these days. I got it in June too. I think mine has kind of a barber shop spicey smell to it. I don't pick up any freesia high notes at all. Course it could be my "smeller".
