Hi everyone,

Two of my Catt's flowers opend this week, but i think both of them are not the species i bought. The first plant i bought as a Cattleya mendelii the second plant should have been Cattleya deckeri.

I really would like some help with this, so if you agree/disagree with me, please let me know!!
I think the 'mendelii' looks like a floofy hybrid, and the 'deckeri' looks more 'bowringiana-ish'......

They are beautiful. You could always email the pictures to the vendor and ask them what they think.

Thnks for the replies, i googled both plants and they are very different from what my plants look like!

But i'm very happy with the both of them and this gives me an excuse to buy a new mendelii and deckeri, lol 😁
