Slc. Seagulls Apricot 'Circle of Light' X Lc. Imperial Torch 'Firey Splendor'-img_0334-cr2-jpg...First bloom since I picked it up a few months ago. I hadn't seen the flowers before. The larger of the two flowers didn't open up symmetrically and had some mealy bugs perusing its sheath, but the colors are brilliant. The outer petals are almost a neon orange. They have a giant splash of yellow in the middle of the skirt bordered by a darker orange. Hence the "torch." Have one more flower that will open in up in a week or so. Hoping to see what these larger flowers look like when they open up properly. I wouldn't mind if they were perfumed either, but that'd be asking too much :-)

The colour is really intense, and it is only in a picture! So in reality it must be stunning!! Hope your last flower will open more symetrically! Congrats on such a lovely Catt!

hmm here's the other flower that finally opened from a separate pseudobulb. Hybrids do the strangest things?

I guess this is the final product of the final flower in this bloom. Looking more like the first two but still different.

It looks like one of mine did. A bit off kilter. I do love the colors, I'll bet it will get a better shape next time.
