I've seen this under a couple of different hybrid designations. Bought this in June and repotted it soon after since it was badly needed. Put out a giant pseudobulb which produced one large spike and two smaller spikes. I will add pictures later in the week when more of those other buds open.
I love a lot of the Epicatt (or whatever they're called these days) hybrids. This is one of the really nice ones. The flowers are bright and cheery. I love the fact that the flower is lined in that yellow-orange, and the spotting on the lip is terrific. Great job.
Like sunshine... These are always a burst of color, and the hybrids of Epi. stamfordianum are always so distinctive.
You are mostly likely to see this as Epilaeliocattleya (Eplc.) Don Herman - the original registration, or Epicatanthe (Ett.) Don Herman - currently official. It was Mantinara for about 15 minutes in 2007. Epicatt is a good informal name for the type, but only certain ones are technically Epicattleya (Epc.)
