RLC Golden Emperor 'Valley Isle' AM/AOS
This is a good semi-alba. Flowers are a solid 5" across, and mildly fragrant. This year I noticed, that there is a hint of a flare at the tip of the petals.
Last summer I bought 5 of these (meristems) in 3.1/2" pots from Exotic Orchids. Plants were large, NBS, so I potted them up into 6" clay pots, and a couple of them promptly bloomed in the fall. I have sold 3, the remaining two now have 3 & 4 leads respectively, with most of the new bulbs in sheath.
My only 'complaint' is, that they are not synchronized. The first to bloom this year sports 3 flowers on the first spike, with the the other two spikes far behind.

Very pretty. At least the staggered blooms means you'll be able to enjoy them longer.

Very nice contrast between the white flower and the lip! Makes a beautiful presentation.
I know that, for shows, the more blooms at once, the better but I personally prefer it when I have flowers over a period of time.

This is my Golden Emoeror that bloomed last year. I was actually looking at it this week wondering if it was going to bloom this year. Not sure about the quality.

That is a stunning flower, wow. I'm not a big fan of the overall plant of the larger Catts but their flowers are unbeatable. A fine example you've shown us, thanks!
I too love the contrast of the stark white and that deep, vibrant lip.
