Default Bc.. hippodamia

Got two as young NBS about a year ago they were in a pot till about two months ago when I mounted them on some virgin cork that I acquired when a tree trimmer that I know trimmed some cork oak trees and gave me a boat load of raw cork. I am still trying to break cork bark away from the wood itself.

These two plants have said thank you to the mounting and sent up and abundance of roots, growth and now first flowers.

I really like the three flowered one better then the one flowered clone, although the one flower clone has 4 more buds on it yet to open the three flower one is a bigger flower, the lip is flatter and has nicer color in it, but that is just my opinion.

Seems easy to grow and mounted should become a mount covering monster plant in no time, both plants showing multiple new growths, one has 7 new leads.

Smells like a Cattleya aclandiae during the day, but at night you get a sweeter smell, I guess from the Brassavola nodosa.

The first flower is exactly 3 1/2" from petal tip to tip. Other flower is about 3" from tip to tip.
