Blooming question
I have an Lc. Mari's Magic 'dream girl' that I bought in bud about a week ago. The center bud started to open the day it arrived and throughout the day opened noticeably more then seemed to stall completely. All three are now mostly open but should this take over a week? Is it lack of sufficient light or do they just do this normally? I am SO new to catts so please forgive the ignorant newb question...

Some open blooms very quickly - like you can almost sit there and watch it happen, others will take longer ...

Some cats, especially lc's won't fully open, and to me that looks like it's all yours will open

That would be disappointing but at least one of them opened up enough for me to be able to get a peek of the yellow inside...

I know some people have had this experience of flowers not fully opening the first time the plant blooms after getting the plant, but then the next blooming cycle the flowers are more open/flat. Hopefully this is the case for you so that future blooms are more spectacular.

Orchids are most sensitive to environment changes when they're in bud and trying to bloom. Moving the plant from the store to your home probably stressed it enough that it didn't bloom to it's full potential.

The blooms may not open fully but I just noticed that it has a faint, delicate, heavenly scent!!! I couldn't be more thrilled
