That's lovely. Approx. how wide is that bloom? I'm only able to add mini and compact Cattleya Alliance right now (and I like yellow), but I want for them to have a reasonably large bloom if I'm going to go to the trouble to provide that kind of light indoors... lol!

The bloom is 2 1/4 inches to 2 1/2 inches. bout the same as they were last time. on the small side but I get 3 this time .
The other new growth after 2nd look isn't large enough. Needs to grow some more. The new growths weren't twins.

Its a very nice shaped small flower, very thick and waxy. They have a hard time to open all the way when they are small and heavy. Lots of water used to hold the flowers up during the heat. If they go dry with my own experiences, the flowers start to get thin and to spot prematurely. The wax is like fat for the flowers and plants. When the wax on the outside layers starts to fail the flowers/plants r next. The wax is known as the cuticle and its purpose is to help prevent water loss.
