From Mickey's Orchids-I went out in rain and it rained the whole time I was there. Down side of buying in rain- problems checking plant health. Some mounts have black stuff on them and I sprayed with Physan but they seem healthy enough.
I needed a bloom fix.

Now, Empress Worsley smelled better yesterday. It smells musky (but tolerable) this morning . I wonder why? Is there something in the parentage to make it smell musky?
Also could not find parentage of Sugar Plum but I like it.
May be I should call the vendor.

Other 2 smell very nice.
#1 Blc. Wainae Leopard x Blc Empress Worsley
#2 C. Jose's Sugar Plum
#3 Blc. Toshie's Magic 'Doris'

A bloom fix... is that why I always end up going in to TJs just looking for orchids?

These are lovely! I especially like the color variety in pic #3. That one's a looker!

Nice! I especially like the Sugar Plum...stunning color on that one!

Jose's accepted name is
Cattlianthe Jose's Sugar Plum - parents being (Cattleya violacea x Cattlianthe Bactia).
So, 50% C violacea and 50% Bactia which is Guarianthe bowringiana x C guttata.

Thanks a lot. Actually, my camera does not pick up reds well. It is much better in person. Knew I could count on members here to help me find this detail.
