Actual color of this flower is misrepresented here.
Perhaps it's the light, or the camera, or both.

The upper left corner of both pictures do show real color of the blooms though.

I have not noticed this so called "Salmon pink" flowers turn anything near yellow. They stay that way the whole time.

I have to say it smells really nice.

I'm posting a picture of nicely grown specimen from a recent show, which shows the true color of this hybrid.

Well, given my personal, subjective experience with this hybrid over many years....which I reported accurately, and my pics are faithful in color to that day...seeing yr offering, I was just moved to delve....and I found this!

Rlc. George King 'Serendipity' AM/AOS

Scroll down, the AOS, incredibly, reports my ongoing experience with the morphing of the color! And that, for me, has always been part of the magic of this hybrid.

I am not much on hallucinating, after all. Always being creative and imaginative, yes, hallucinating....thankfully, not so much. Mine, truly does open pale....and then morphs!!!

CORRECT! Mine is a salmon pink also, exactly like the picture in NYCorchidmans' post. BettyE.

Hi.

I believe the color of the specimen in question is pale or "baby" pink, as is also depicted in what I came upon via the AOS (see link.).

As I shared right off, mine opens that color, then, after delving, I discovered as per the AOS, is a documented phenomenon, it metamorphoses first into peach, then apricot......the last color phase is what my image depicts accurately. And yes, it is deliciously fragrant. I can only share and depict the reality of mine.

This seems to be a popular hybrid for many and obvious reasons! I have enjoyed mine.....esp the color morphing show.....for many years, and, am about to again very soon!!

It's also a very good grower and entirely reliable bloomer!
