Default Cattleya percivaliana - right on time for Xmas :)

Well, my little bloomed right ontime for Christmas.. I am delighted with it...

as per our old discussion on the thread : Poll of Cattleya percivaliana scent
I can only confirm my memories from Venezuela: "Stinkbugs" What is new for me, is that having the plant in my living room it involves the whole room with its scent (especially between 18:00 and 20:00) However, not so bad that I have to stay away from it

Beautiful job, Ramon. I've been putting off getting one because of the smell, but I have a Hydrosme that blooms every spring that smells like rotten hamburger, so why should I worry about an orchid? Silly me!

Hi Kim, yeap, why should you worry about an orchid? the flowers are just gorgeous and they a only a bit strong during the early evening. At other times you need to put your nose very close to the them... but anyway, the scent is not that repugnant (real stinkbugs are worst)... and as I mentioned in the other thread, I have a REAL BIG STINKER, but the plant itself and the flower deserve a place in my collection: Amorphophallus konjac, not an orchid but...
