Default cattleya maxima coerulea "gigi"
this is an ecuatorian type, truly spectacular maxima, first time bloomer for me, i was expecting it to bloom in another year.

maximas can bloom twice a year, and this is the time when they bloom, second time it usually does on october/november for me.

the flowers are still opening and gaining a deeper rich color

two pictures taken one a day ago and the other today.

will take another picture in 5 days from now, to see the new coloration at its best.
