Default Cattleya Luteola :)

Back in 2008 Becca Senior Member gave me this Catteya I was not at all into small Catteya's having many large species. This compact orchid would never turn a head at a show, but it is a prolific bloomer and is now on my favorite list. I am looking for more ideas for other compact species Catteya's that will bring me happiness so any advice would be appreciated. Thank you Becca!

Yes!!! I second C. Intermedia in all it's forms. Do you get enough light up there to grow this well? By the looks of it....yes. Who woulda thunk it. Very nice Luteola. Indeed.

Pretty flower! I've got one more compact grower at least I think so (it was my first) Slc. Jewel Box 'Dark Waters' that is beautiful. But I'm branching out with Lc. Cariad's Mini Quinee 'Angel Kiss' which I believe to be a miniature/compact. I'm also waiting on some from Sunset Valley Orchids that are all miniatures. You might check them out as they have a lot of all sizes and have them categorized by size on their page making it that much easier to shop around.

Good luck!

Very pretty. I recommend Walkeriana for it's small/compact size and fragrance. Lepotes bicolor is also a mini.

Probably more light during the day and complete darkness at night. This species will not bloom if it experiences any light during the dark hours.
