New Growths on BLC Williette Wong "The Best" AM/AOS
has been growing one new lead for a little while and now I see three more dormant eyes are swelling. Two of them look like they are definitely developing.

This plant looks like it was already growing in three directions but somehow two of them had some rotted dormant eyes.
I had this in bloom on two leads last summer. It grew only one new lead with bloom. I understand this is a summer bloomer.
Now I think or hope that the biggest new lead will make flowers as we are going into summer now.
gotta love this big yellow cattleya!!!

I bought 5 large seedlings with WW as the pollen parent last year. At least 3 of them are budding now, so looking forward to seeing them in June or July.

I'd love to see how they turn out, but with WW already being so wonderful, it will be tough to top that.

RLC (Beverly Blietz 'Valley Isle' x Willette Wong)
Here is the first of the 5 seedlings to bloom. It is a single flower, which is very close to 6" across. Petals curl back slightly at the tip, without that, flower would be well over 6".
It is a good one (flower is very flat), but I am still hoping that there will be another that will be even better. My Cattleya consultant will see it on Saturday, then we will make a decision whether to keep or sell this one.
