this is a seedling that was sold to me as a laelia crispa (cattleya) but it turned out to be a purpurata.
plant is really vigorous, bloomed on all the 3 fronts for the first time with 7 flowers (5 still in bud (3+2), but opening today)
the flowers are a bit small, but i think its normal, as most Cattleya/laelia first time bloomers usually show up with smaller flowers.
i do love the veins of this one to be lightly colored, with the solid lip, makes it a interesting plant. not the best, but interesting nonetheless . i like the shape on this one. i look forward for second round.
