Default Promenaea riograndensis

Promenaea riograndensis - nice small sized orchid, grows in very dense leave clusters, blooms on short spikes growing from the bottom carrying usually one to two nice size blooms, love the spotted color, and there is very nice gentle vanilla like smell! This is first bloom for this season, another 3 already growing! I keep this plant moist but not soggy (hates to dry out), bright shade, fertilize regular. Try not to spray water on new growths and spikes - it kills them!

Beautiful flower. You have a cluster of bulbs, pretty soon you will have your pot lined around the rim by those fragrant flowers.

The habit and leaves of Promenea is very appealing. I saw one at the National Botanic Gardens - it formed a lovely a matt of gray-green leaves on small, closely packed pseudobulbs. I cam see why you treasure this one.
