B. Little Stars
I've had this plant since I got it at a Lowe's in Feb. 2013 for about $4. It's grown like crazy since then, more than doubling in size. For whatever reason this is the first time it's bloomed since I purchased it. There are still several buds that will be opening in the next couple of days, but it's already putting on a great show.

Beautiful! It's hard to believe that it has spent just over a year in your care. Do you have it in a spot where you'll be able to smell it in the evening/at night? I've read that Little Stars is more spicy than its nodosa parent.
I'm a little bummed that I never see bag babies at my Lowe's or Home Depot...I need some great finds like this!

It gets morning/early afternoon sun and then shade most of the rest of the day. I use time release 13-13-13 fertilizer as well.
Yes it has a very strong spicy scent at night, not sure what I would compare it to though.

Beautiful! I am giving mine just till the end of the year, they are on my nerves, one I have for over 3 years,it is monster, I mean true monster, got it from Kawamoto with maybe 10 leaves, it has some 50 leaves now, roots ate wood basket that I put original plastic pot into, never did bloom, I have another one I got from my friend last year, she bought 2
hers grew maybe 5 leaves, but spikes nonstop, mine grew 15 leaves, not one spike. They have bright light, reddish leaves showing enough light, fertilized good, everything they may ask for, but not one spike! They will fly out if no spikes this season:-)))))))))))))))
