They look so happy on the bark you have them on. Can't wait to see how they do.

Here's that browned leaf again, grown out a bit. It looks like it was just a minor burn. Wish I knew exactly why though.

Here are the two largest seedlings, in lava rock since the beginning, and doing well. These are 4-inch pots.

Great progress and I love the experiments!

About the damaged growth, I doubt you'll even be able to see this damage when the bulb is mature. It also looks like a mechanical injury to me, but either way it won't affect the long term growth of this bulb, much less the plant.

Here's an update! Can't believe it's been a year already.

Several have produced their first true pseudobulbs this summer. I was more careful to let them dry out in between waterings -- they were kept too wet last year and their roots suffered.

Here are the mounted seedlings. Some of the smaller ones did not make it.

I'm so impressed! Must have taken a lot of work all year to get them to where they are now. They look great.

Oh these are so awesome!! thank you for all of the updates. I got some seedlings I deflsked recently and this is very helpful! I'm battling a bit of a fungus issue with them, but most seem to be doing good. Keep us posted how your mounted babies do, I am a fan of growing them like that and will probably be mounting my babies soon as well.
