Excellent pictures of many people's favorite. Sweet fragrance, that fills the yard a couple of times a year. In just 3 years mine have filled 6" baskets. I resist dividing them for fear that I will kill...
Thanks, I had fun getting pics of this one! In pic 2 you can see I was not all that successful with shooing away all the ants.I try not to divide mine as well so I can have a GIANT specimen plant one day.

Thanks for the pics....helps me to keep my patience in check.
No problem!! I think patience is the toughest part of growing orchids. If you can master that, then you can grow any 'chid!!

Hey Steve!
Although a cheapie Lowe's Dendrobium was my first, Brassavola nodosa, my second, was the one that got me hooked on orchids. Mine smells like the original Certs candy. When danger of frost has past, I grow it outside in full sun and water it almost daily during the hottest days. 37 chids later, I still look forward to its blooms more than any others. Super rewarding! Yours look great Steve. You'll have a huge specimen in no time.

Mine just opened this morning. When the flower opens up a little more I'll post a pic. Looking forward to the scent. :)
