Finally! This is another I have had a few years, blooming for the first time in my care.
Every year or so, there would be some issue that prevented blooming (insufficient light, cold water sitting in the top of new growth overnight during chilly temps, etc ...)
This has a tag with the name Lakeview Red - alas, there are no Epidendrums Lakeview, or Lake View, registered with the RHS
Anyway ... Blooms are a nice size, about 2", and VERY BRIGHT red with yellow lip.
Potted in a plastic pot, CHC mix. I try to keep the potting mix from drying out. Spring through Autumn, grown outdoors where it can get full sun all morning through mid-afternoon. Since Autumn, it has been growing in a south facing window.
Thanks for looking
