I know, and that is why I just keep buying large yellow/red cattleyas every time I see them in bloom knowing I will only just toss it after flowers fade.

I don't have enough space for these, so I only keep very few.

I do keep Goldenzelle "Lemon Schiffon" and Williett Wong "The Best". I haven't been able to find a nice clone of aoki I want to buy yet. one day!

I'm dumping out my more sublte yellow cattleya although it is a nice grower and bloomer.

I have so many yellow plants, so need room for something striking and new.

I like large cattleyas flowers and their sweet fragrance, but they only last about one month at best and usually bloom only once a year for me.
and they are rather big for me.

So I usually buy them in bloom and then toss. just like phals. lol

Willette Wond "The Best" is about the largest yellow/red I've seen. I also like the bright cheery lemon yellow on its flowers.
Even better, the plant is not that big considering how big the flowers are. All the more reason to keep it.

Even better, the plant is not that big considering how big the flowers are. All the more reason to keep it.
