Thank you so much folks for being so helpful, I will not spoil things and split it. I will add a picture when all the flowers are blooming on it. They are a pale yellowish orange when they first bloom and then get to the real bright orange in a few days, so amazing. Now if I could just get this darn Dpts. orchid to do something other than create keiki's I would be happy, it has not bloom in the two years I have had it.

How old is yours? When does it bloom for you? I wish I could move it into the living room so others can see it, its in my bedroom which gets wonderful morning sun and bright light all day.

Psst...
Optimist, it's "pseudobulbs".
Pseudopods are those appendages that Amoebas produce.

Another flower bloomed this morning, the older flower has its bright orange color now. One of the flowers has a very short stem and can hardly spread its pedals.

Mine has buds now, but very small inside the sheath, and gets nice sun in the big South window. It blooms round April here

I live in a suburb, northern of Athens.
She has flowered for the first time two years ago, and it was her first flowering. I can post a photo of hers (taken last April) here, if it is o.k. with you

It's beautiful, thank you for the picture. I hope the Greek economy is better, it was in such bad shape for a while. I went to University in Italy and there were many Greek students there, lovely people. Good luck with your orchids.
