Cattleya warscewiczii var. semi-alba 'Do Heitor'
If the type of this Colombian species is beautiful, the semi-alba exceeds! Perfumed and floriferous!

Okay Mauro, you're killing me here. You won't order me from the catalog and try as I might, I can't seem to fit myself in an envelope.
You just keep taunting me with these gorgeous catts!! I guess I'll continue to look at your pictures and drool.
This one as with all the others, is out-of-this-world gorgeous!!!

ditto what everyone else said. I would add gorgeous but then I started to hyperventilate just a tad. Whew!
I'm almost afraid to say it, but keep the photos coming Mauro!!!!
It's the camera, right? No one has that many beauties, right????? Isn't that called an orchid monopoly or something????
All kidding aside....I think this is my favorite so far.
BTW, I see the word "alba" in many of the orchid names. This may be a dumb question, but what does alba mean? kiki-do

kiki-do, alba means lack of color, as in albino. Semi-alba refers to almost lack of color, as in white with colored lip.

Kiki, flowers that lack the dominant color of the species are called albino flowers. So, for example, if you take Cattleya labiata, the dominant color in this species is lavender. If a flower of C. labiata appears without the dominant color then that flower is an albino flower. So, albino is general and applies to all cases of albinism. The particular case of albinism that makes the flower white, and only in this case, receives the name 'alba', or 'album' depending on the gender, which are the Latin words for 'white'. You can call 'alba' the albino flower of Cat. labiata because it is white, but you cannot call 'alba' the albino flower of Cattleya leopoldi because it is green, not white.
If I can be of any further help, please let me know.
