First bloom, lip looks kinda funky. Smells nice.

I like the color pattern. I believe I have N. Mas Mejor, large plain white flowers, which are beautiful, but a bit of different color sure is nice!

My N. Little star has a couple of flowers with lips like that. I think it's genetic thing that comes out randomly. My has over 20 flowers. only about 2 or 3 flowers have deformed lip.

Species Identification Task Force Submissions: Brassavola nodosa

Great plant with striking showy flowers. From the leaf aspect however I guess it must be considered as a hybrid with Brassavola grandiflora. For your comparison I include a link to a plant judged January 10th.
