Do wish it wasn't so difficult to capture many of the reds and purples accurately with digital cameras. Never had that problem with film. Color should be much darker and richer -- none of the magenta garbage. (The font color I'm using is actually closer.) If only you could see the actual color. *sigh*

Nice little bloom. I had the same problem a while back, I never did get the color right. Sun, with out sun and using the flash didn't seem to matter.

Beautiful! I have one of those also and, you're right, the color is a bright, electric fushia in the sunlight. It's one of the brightest colored orchids I've ever had.
