This is a tipo flower flower on a highland (short statured) plant. I split this plant in 2013 and this is the first blooming since then and it only gave me 2 flowers; which is not unexpected. The flowers appear more blue/purple in these pictures than previous ones (
Cattleya maxima) because I took the pics with the light from the LED's that I use to grow this guy (from First Rays). Under sunlight, the flowers are a more pink color, but the color seen in these pics are true to how they look under the lights.
