BLC Persian Glory 'Road to China'
Cattleyas are not really 'my thing', but occasionally one comes across a plant where the name has a special significance. I came across this name during an internet search for something else; since my wife is 1/2 Persian and I am 1/4 Chinese, I had no choice but to buy it.
This is a standard size plant (though not overly large), the flower is 14.0 cm (5.1/2") across, and very fragrant in daylight.

An interesting cross that I've never seen before. Labelloid petals, probably under the influence of C. intermedia fma. aquinii. Do the flowers fully open?

Yes, flowers are fully open and standard size/shape.
Petals are not true peloric, as they have standard shape, but are colored like the labellum. I would tend to agree with your hypothesis above.

It is a very pretty cattleya. I understand about buying plants/orchids based on name. I have a C. Lochinvar 'Black Knight' because of the Sir Walter Scott poem.
