Cattleya Golf Green 'Hairy Pig'
A terrible name for such a lovely plant. A cross from Cattleya Moscombe x Ryncholaelia digbyana. The flowers are measuring 16cmx14cm.

An interesting flower. I like the fringes.
I agree the clonal name leaves something to be desired. Even 'Hairy piglet" would have been better. (Piglet often having a cute connotation about it.) Is the sucker a space hog (large plant)? If so, perhaps that inspired the name.

It is green and "hairy". I kind of like it.

I also like it, but I'd have chosen another clonal name for it.

Very unusual. Strange name. Is it fragrant? Or does it smell like a pig?

I like the looks of that one. I'm not into the green flowers but that looks really nice.

Neat flower, but I agree, the name is off-putting.

There is a digbyana variety with fimbriate petals and obviously this cross is made with it. Very nice.
