Cattleya Golf Green 'Hairy Pig' Male

The cross was registered by a nursery in Taiwan. Because the digdyana sounds like our Taiwanese for pig, the clone got the name Hairy Pig. There are several clones that available here.

there are a couple of Taiwan-originated crosses in which the name is lost in translation - some examples

Form web search, i found that Yaphon was a name for an orchid nursery. I did not know why they were named. But here, some of these namings were indeed funny and represented for nothing.
