Wonderful flower! What about the scent? Is it that bad? Is it strong too?

Well, on the cross that I showed in the picture, smell was nice and not too strong. I could smell it only when sticking my nose near the flower. This was an indoor show with AC in the room.....a crowded room....with lots of orchids.
But it is possible that fragrance is stronger or different in a different environment such as heat/humidity/time of the day/age of the flower.

Fabulous...love all those blooms. Also love the lip coloring on this species.

There is a lot of exaggeration about the scent of C. percivaliana. I regularly took big plants inside and put it in my kitchen and dining room. It was never unpleasant to sit beneath and to have breakfast and morning coffee.
