That's a very nice C. trianaei or C. trianae depending on your version of the spelling! Even the experts disagree on that subject....

BEAUTIFUL! Peter, I'm envious! Did you import your plant or was it already in Europe? Whenever I see 'Rolf Altenburg', I ask.....

Thinking of Cattleya trianaei, I noticed that Orquivalle doubled the price on their var sangretoro to $120 on the 2008 Price List!

I dug deep and paid $60, this year.

I have imported this C. trianaei from Brazil, two years ago, together with some other varieties. This one is the first one flowering.
The flowers are really big, with a lovely scent. Beautiful flower shape also.
