Default Blooming for the first time

1. LC. Betty Ford 'York' from Hauserman, super fragrant.Colors are darker in reality.I bought it a few months ago and it arrived with 2 sheaths, both blooming now. Sheaths dried up as I repotted it in basket with my chunky mix and I thought they will not produce any flowers. Also, leaves got sunburnt accidentally. So, I guess I got lucky that it bloomed. Love the magenta and red. It is a large cattleya with large flower.
2.B. yellow bird or something like that... from Lowes, bought as a bag baby last year. I repotted it in a net basket and it seems happy.I like the flowers, even detect very faint sweet scent occasionally. ....My nose is extra sensitive.

Those are both beautiful. Good for you in getting them to bloom. I got some from Hausermanns but none have bloomed yet. They came in sheath as well but have not done anything. Well I say they have done nothing but they all have new growths just the sheaths have done nothing.

I really like that yellow one. Seems like some one else posted one like it not to long ago.

I especially like that yellow number. Fantastic flower shape and the speckles are to die for. Kudos!

I am still thinking about it. I am mortified at the thought of driving to Miami and if I go I will have to take Taxi. It is expensive via Taxi. So, I am not sure yet.

I do like that yellow one, too (well, both actually). Maybe I can find something like that here.
