Default First Bloom Bc. Hippodamia

This is a popular cross of Brassavola nodosa x Cattleya aclandiae. This was a seedling and it is it's first bloom. Having seen the diversity of these particular plants i had no idea what to expect but i'm very pleased with it. It changed quite a bit while it was opening. I wasn't around when it was opening but a friend took a picture and you can see what it now looks like fully open with green petals and sepals

I've seen some real dogs produced with this crossing but yours is really nice! Congrats!

This actually looks a lot more like Bc. Hippodamia x C. aclandiae. That particular cross produces plants that very often closely resemble your own.

Regardless, it is extremely beautiful. Good job!
