Laelia crispa
Laelia crispa is a seldom grown species. Most of there plants were imported many year ago. Our local nursery seems more like other laelias.

I like it. I do believe I saw this one in an orchid book I was reading.

I absolutey LOVE this Laelia! I have two plants that seem to grow OK, but haven't bloomed for me. Is there a secret to blooming these?

It is not difficult to bloom this species. Like most cattleyas or laelias, this one likes a lot of sunlight.

A very showy species. It needs maximum light here especially in the dark months of winter.
