Default Cattleya jenmanii 'Majestic' x C. percivaliana 'Summit' FCC/AOS

Hi all,

Have had this one for some years and it has been 2-3 years since it last bloomed. Then it only gave me two blooms, this time its producing 3-4 spikes and two buds on the first two spikes to mature. Here are the first two flowers of the bunch. Yesterday they were bluer, tonight they are much more pink than they were this morning.

That's a good looking cross! Does it smell good or did it keep the percivaliana stench?

It barely had a scent. Infact so little that I couldn't decide if it was good or bad. Kinda like toy slime they used to sell when Ghostbusters were popular with kids.

Wow that is fantastic!!!!!! I love this flower!!! Its just so perfect. Steve you're making me nervous talking about Percivaliana stench! I picked up a 'Summit' This year and its showing a spike in the sheath. Ill know for sure soon enough.

I hope yours doesnt smell bad its such a fantastic flower!

Don't worry, I get a kick from bad smelling flowers. A bad smell would be a perk for me.
After all, its coming from a healthy plant, that means its ok.
Thanks for the comments!

Gorgeous shape and colour! Did you know this cross has a name? It was registered in 1954 as C. David Sander. Strange there isn't a picture of the cross in OrchidWiz.
