Wow, thanks Silken!!! I did not know that. It would be better to name it that in my picture files. However, maybe it wasn't sold as a David Sander because it was not given a cultivar name?
In other words, how does one resolve the Majestic x Summit part?

That's a nice cross. Too bad about C. jenmanii's fragrance not being dominant. But, on the plus side, perhaps your plant has inherited some of C. percivaliana's cold tolerance. The colors are really attractive on these.

No problem. I always like to know the hybrid names but I hate to lose the cultivar info of the parents as well. I keep that info in notes in OrchidWiz since sometimes the parents are award winners and that is sort of important to know!
If the name isn't too long, I put the plant's registered name and the parent info in brackets on the tag.

Thanks all for the comments. Cold tolerance is not an issue for me since I grow in my apartment.

So beautiful! Reminds me a lot of the C. trianae I saw blooming in Colombia a few years ago (trianae is the national flower of Colombia).

It sure is! I've got a small one, I hope it'll get larger and start blooming. I saw them growing and blooming on street-planted Royal Palms in Fusagasuga, and also in Arbalaez at an elderly lady's home, she had probably about 20 different kinds of orchids she'd lovingly tended to in her garden, all local natives, and really beautiful.
